I do really love bright colors but these silhouettes are stark and I know they are that way on purpose. The contrast makes me feel that its night time and forces you to make assumptions and read into implications about those involved that would be unnecessary if faces and colors were supplied. I love the honesty in the work. Everything is clear. The first picture is very obvious in its display of oppression of both race and gender, so these women are suffering. While they are painful to look at they need to be looked at. I am glad she made them.
