Lisa Yuskavage

I like how these three of her paintings include this strange lighting as if none of the subject is really there. They look vaguely dreamlike. The last one pictured is my favorite since it includes a lot of different colors as opposed to one theme. Although, I think the effect of the single color makes the sadness in the first painting more obvious, and the second picture would look less desolate with a blue sky... I think the effect is important.
